Indonesian navy pilots protesting against appointment non-pilot as commanding officer according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 22 June 1959

An item reported that within the Indonesian navy some weeks ago was protested against the appointment of the non-pilot captain Soediarso as commanding officer of a navy air squadron. He was at that moment in the USA to be trained. As a result of the protests were at least 19 pilots arrested and was vice admiral [R.S.] Soebyakto chief of staff of the Indonesian ordered by premier Djoeanda to come back as soon as possible from his European tour.
