British Petroleum Company ordered new building of tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 11 October 1955

An item reported that the British Petroleum Company intended to order some 60.000 tankers. At that moment possessed she a fleet of tankers with a total tonnage of 2.018.000 tons and were 41 ships being built or their building ordered included 7-42.000 tons ships.
