Yugoslavian navy interested in nuclear propulsion according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 6 September 1957

An item reported that the commander in chief of the Yugoslavian navy admiral Mate Jerkovic stated that Yugoslavia was interested in nuclear propulsion. There was enough knowledge and with the needed conditions to develop a nuclear program. On the other hand needed the Yugoslavian ships, crews and bases better protection against a nuclear attack and was it necessary to supply technical and tactical knowledge to the personnel.
