An item referred to the magazine Mitth. reporting that the largest American torpedo boat the USS Stringham was launched at Wilmington.(1) With a displacement of 340 tons were her dimensions 68,6 x 6,7 x 1,95 metres. The horsepower of 7.200 ihp allowed a speed of 30 knots. The armament consisted of 2-45 torpedo launchers on deck and 7-5,7cm quick firing guns (on the conning towers each 1, rest on deck).
