An item referred to the magazine Proc. dated April 1934 reporting that the battleship HMS Barham (1) was modernized and that now taken care of the HMS Warspite (2) was. The HMS Ramillies (3) was to be finished in August 1934 and than to release the HMS Royal Oak (4) in the Mediterranean. The reconstruction of the HMS Royal Oak and the HMS Malaya (5) were to begin in 1934 while the HMS Repulse (6) was to be finished on 1 April 1936.

1. Launched on 31 December 1914 at the shipyard of J. Brown and lost on 25 November 1941 when she was torpedoed by the German submarine U331 in the Mediterranean.
2. Launched on 26 November 1915 at the Devonport Dockyard , wrecked in 1950while underway to be broken up and the wreck resold. In 1955 broken up.
3. Launched on 12 September 1916 at the shipyard of Beardmore and sold in 1948 to be broken up.
4. Launched on 17 November 1914 at the Devonport Dockyard and lost on 14 October 1939 when she was torpedoed by the German submarine U47 at Scapa Flow.
5. Launched on 18 march 1915 at the shipyard of Armstrong and sold in 1948 to be broken up.
6. Not a battleship but a battle cruiser. Launched on 8 January 1916 at the shipyard of J. Brown (former Palmer) and lost together with the HMS Prince of Wales on 10 December 1941 when they were attacked by Japanese aircraft off the east Malayan coast.
