Dutch shipping company NV Rederij Amsterdam ordered building of a bulk carrier according to the Dutch newspaper Het vrije volk dated 26 Ocober 1961

An item reported that the Dutch shipping company NV Rederij Amsterdam ordered the same day the building of 17.400 ton deadweight bulk carrier at the Dutch Verolme Verenigde Scheepswerven at Rotterdam. She was to be fitted out with a 6.600 hp engine.
