An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reported that the ten submarines of which the building in the budget of 1907 was approved were to be of the Pluviôse design. With a surfaced displacement of 398 ton was the speed 8 (submerged)-12 (surfaced) miles. With a speed of 8 miles was their surfaced range 1.000 miles. Building costs 1.700.000 francs. Still not decided if these submarines were to be fitted out with diesel engines or steam engines.
