Japan claimed destroying 11 allied ships according to the Dutch newspaper Haagsche Courant dated 17 March 1942

An item referred to a statement of the Japanese headquarters claiming that Japanese submarines operating in the coastal waters of the Dutch East Indies and Burma destroyed 11 ships of the Allies with a total tonnage of 81.000 tons.
