The Turkish navy at Constantinople according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 28 April 1827

Constantinople, 26 March. All efforts were done to fit out the fleet at the arsenal at Constantinople. Already left 20 ships of different sizes the inner harbour and anchored in the Bosporus off Beschikcktasch. The fleet with strength of 30 ships was to be ready for departure within 3 weeks and to be commanded by vice admiral Mahomed Tahir.
