The British prime minister Churchill reported in the House of Commons that a British officer was killed during the mutiny recent broken out in the Greek army and navy under allied command. The Greek cabinet Venizelos resigned and the leader of the social democrats Papandrece was ordered to form a new cabinet. He announced that those were responsible for the mutiny were to be punished.
