The Greek navy in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant 13 March 1822

Corfu, 9 February. Mr. Lazarus Condouriotti was appointed as the Greek grand admiral. The government offered 1.500.000 piasters for 60 war vessels. There were strictly orders to respect the ships of the European powers. At Constantinople were 70 Turkish vessels of all sizes with landing troops fitted out. The Greek fleet seemed all ready departed towards open sea.
