The French brig l'Eclair stranded at Smyrna according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 25 April 1823

Smirna, 28 February. The newspaper Spectateur Oriental published a tiding dated Canea 19 January according to which the beautiful French brig l'Eclair master Forten of Ciotat was grounded 13 January in the port but with every hope to salvage her.
