American whaler Ellen Rodman in November 1874 destined towards Cape Verde according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 5 January 1875

An item referred to a letter written by her first officer reporting that the schooner Ellen Rodman of Fairhaven was lying at sea on 2 November 1874 with as location 25°46’North longitude and 31°46’West destined for Cape Verde. Her catch results consisted until then of one whale.
