American captain R.GH. Luce 35 years in whaling business according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 20 December 1864

An item reported that captain Richard G. Luce of Thishury who had been in the whaling business for 35 years with a total catch of 33.300 barrels whale oil and 210 barrels of sperm oil.
