Dutch bark Jan Pieterszoon Koen abandoned at sea underway from Pensacola USA towards Middelburg Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 9 March 1892

An item reported that the Dutch bark ship Jan Pieterszoon Koen (1) captain G. Spanjer of De Groof&Co., Vlissingen, Netherlands was abandoned at sea when she was fully filled with water. Her crew was brought safely to Savannah, USA. She had been underway from Pensacola, USA towards Middelburg, Netherlands.
