American whaler Braganza condemned according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 2 December 1862

A letter written by captain Turner of the bark Braganza of New Bedford, USA dated Honolulu, Hawaii 16th October reported that his ship had to be condemned while she was not longer seaworthy. Her voyage had been successful with a catch of 600 barrels sperm, 1.400 barrels whale oil and 24.00 lbs bone since she departed Honolulu in December 1861, Her total catch was 685 barrels sperm and 3.50 barrels of whale oil.
