American whaler Canton Packet lying at New Bedford, USA according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 2 December 1862

A letter from captain Obed Sherman of the bark Canton Packet reported the arrival at New Bedford, USA on last Thursday returning from a voyage of 7 months in the Atlantic Ocean. Her catch consisted of 270 barrels sperm oil.
