Dominican schooner of war Capotillo ordered to seize Samana according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 9 May 1874

An item reported that on 26 March the Dominican schooner of war Capotillo left St. Domingo to seize Samana as a result of a decision dated 25 March dealing that the contract with the company was expired lacking the payment of the second year lease. She arrived next day although the agents of the company protested. After the military disembarked was the flag of the Domincac Republic hoisted ending the existence of the company.
