British sloop HMS Samarang left the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java Government Gazette dated 29 February 1812

An item reported the departure from Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 4th February by the British HMS Samarang commanded by J. Eagleson.(1)

1. Sloop, built 1781 in England, bought by the Dutch navy in 1785, rebuilt by P. Glavimans at naval yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands 1789, captured as Dutch Psyche 1 September 1807, commissioned as the Scipio, renamed Samarang circa 1808, sold 1814, dimensions 122 x 30 x 17¼ Dutch feet, 408 tons builders measurement, 18 guns.
