Danish navy modernizes according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche staatscourant dated 1 August 1856

An item dated Copenhagen, Denmark 26th July reported that the Danish cabinet decided to modernize the Danish navy and to fit out all sailing ships with auxiliary steam power. On short notice were two newly built steam corvettes to be launched.
