American whaler Orray Taft lying at Fayal, Azores according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 September 1859

A letter written by captain Fisher on board of the bark Orray Taft of New Bedford, USA dated Fayal, Azores 26^th reported a catch of 60 barrels sperm oil since leaving Bermuda. She visited Fayal to load flour and tended to depart within some days for a new cruise.(1)
