American whaler Messenger lying at Fayal, Azores according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 September 1859

A letter written by captain Gifford on board of the bark Messenger of New Bedford, USA dated Fayal, Azores 20th July reported that they were bound for the Camila Ground. Everything was well on board.(1)
