American whaler Messenger lying at Fayal, Azores according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 September 1859

A letter written by captain Gifford on board of the bark Messenger of New Bedford, USA dated Fayal, Azores 20^th July reported that they were bound for the Camila Ground. Everything was well on board.(1)
