Of the auxiliary squadron. Iron-built. Launched in 1866. Draught 5,5 metres. Armament consisted of 8 guns. Horsepower 400 nhp. Maximum speed under steam during a watch of 4 hours 11 geographic miles. Tonnage 2.000 tons. Crew numbered on 31 December 1880 194 Europeans (fixed 229)-42 natives (fixed 53). Arrived in June 1876 in the Dutch East Indies. Stationed at Batavia, Dutch East Indies. Between 25 November 1879-25 February 1880 absent from Java ant at Singapore to be docked and for repairs of her boilers, between 25 May-13 June cruising in Sunda Strait ,first half of September with the inspector of buoys and coastal lights to inspect the lighthouse at the first point of Java which was heavy damaged during an earthquake. Second half again at Singapore to be docked, arrived on 14th October at Batavia returning from Singapore after showing the flag at Pontianak and some communities along the north coast of Java. In April 1881 destined to be docked at Onrust, East Indies.(1)

1. Call sign GQRS, laid down at Laird, Birkenhead, England 1865 and launched 9 October 1866. Dimensions 70,14 x 13,32 x 5,70 metres and a displacement of 3.375 tons. Her 2 engines and 4 boilers delivered 2.426 ihp which made with 2 screws a speed of 12,09 miles possible. Also fitted out with 3 masts and a sail area of 1.554m2, but sailed worse. Armed with 4-23cm rifled guns and 4-12cm guns. Armour sides was 115mm. Her crew numbered 230 men. In 1901 transferred to the Department of Colonies. In 1905 given back and used as ammunition ship.
