British Royal Navy intended to built new light cruisers as replacement of the County-class according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1924 no. 2

An item referred to the magazine Moniteur de la Flotte reporting that the prime minister Baldwin in a speed at Plymouth, England the building of new light cruisers announced which were to replace the County-class. The designs and drawings were to be completed as soon as possible en perhaps could in 1924 the building ordered of some vessels. The exact number was yet known although in the magazine was 17 mentioned. Further more were some smaller warships to be built. The smaller cruiser Frobisher was probably in March 1924.(1)

1. The HMS Frobisher (D81) was a Hawkins heavy cruiser laid down at the Devonport Dockyard on 2 August 1916, launched on 20 March 1920, commissioned on 20 September 1924 and sold to be broken up on 26 March 1949.
