Positions of the US submarine fleet in 1913according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 8

An item dealing with the US submarine fleet described in which manner the available American submarines were divided in September 1913.
To the Atlantic fleet were two divisions added. The 1st division consisted of the C 1-5. With a displacement of 245 (surfaced)-300 (submerged) ton, a speed of 12 (surfaced)-10 (submerged) miles and an armament of 2 torpedo tubes. The monitor Ozark was added to this division. The 2nd division consisted of the D 1-3 with a displacement of 285 (surfaced)-350 (submerged) tons, a speed of 13 (surfaced)-10 (submerged) miles and an armament of 4 torpedo tubes and the E1-2 with a displacement of 350 (submerged)-450 (surfaced) tons, a speed of 14 (surfaced)-11 (submerged) miles and an armament of 4 torpedo tubes. The monitor Tonopah was added to this division.
To the Pacific fleet was one division added, consisting of the F 1-4 with a displacement of 350 (surfaced)-440 (submerged) tons, a speed of 14 (surfaced)-11 (submerged) miles and an armament of torpedo tubes. The steamship Alext was added to this division. As reserve were the A 3 en A 5 with a displacement of 105 (surfaced)-125 (submerged) tons, a speed of 8,5 (surfaced)-7 9submerged) miles and an armament of 1 torpedo tube added.
To the Asiatic fleet was one divisions added, consisting of the A 2, A 4 and A 6-7 with a displacement of 105 (surfaced)-125 (submerged) tons, a speed of 8,5 (surfaced)-7 (submerged) miles and an armament of 1 torpedo tube added and further more the B 2 with a displacement of 150 (surfaced)-200 (submerged) tons, a speed of 10 (surfaced)-8,5 (submerged) miles and an armament of 1 torpedo tubes. To this division was the Mohican added.
Some submarines were to be armed with 7,6cm guns.
