Russian project 130 degaussing-deperming ships as called by the NATO Bereza-class 20th Century


Built at the Stocznia Polnocna, Gdansk, Poland with as general specifications a displacement of 1.811 (standard)-2.09 (full loaded) tons and as dimensions 69,5 x 13,8 x 3,98 metres. Maximum speed 13,6 knots and a range of 1.200 nautical miles with 10 and 1.000 nautical miles at maximum speed. Victuals for 30 days. The main engines were 2x1.470hp Zgoda-Sulzer AL25D diesels. Their crew numbered 45 men. The Bulgarian, Polish and Ukrainian navies had each one ship of this class. Main tasks are to electromagnetic processing vessels and the measurement of magnetic and electric fields. Back in the 1960’s were already such vessels designed (projects 523 and 219), developed into project 1779  and when the building was ordered at Gdansk after 1982 became it project 130 built between 1985-1990 although two boats were apparently never completed.
