British battleship King Edward VII held world record coal loading according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 3

An item referred to the Army and Navy Journal reporting that the British battleships King Edward VII held the world record coal loading. At Portsmouth, England was in 34,5: hours 1.451 ton loaded or 417 ton each hour out of a floating coal magazine.(1)

Building ordered under the 1903-1904 Estimates, laid down at the Devonport Dockyard on 8 March 1902, launched on 23 July 1903, completed in February 1905 and finally mined off Cape Warth, Scotland on 6 January 1916.
