The German naval budget for 1908 according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 5

An item referred to the Austrian magazine Mittheulingen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens that the German navy asked for 278 million marks or 26 million more as the year before. The regularly expenses were 121 million. For expenses at one was 128 million asked included 65 million for building ships, 4 million for repairs/conversion, 14 million for building torpedo boats and 3 million for submarines. For artillery 37,5 million, torpedo armament 5 million and for mines 340.000 marks. The Marine Rundschau reported that on 14th May the German parliament the budget approved for 277,8 million marks, refusing just 81.000 mark of what was asked for.
