Austrian 14.500 ton battleship Erzherzog Ferdinand performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 7


An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reported that the Austrian 14.500 ton battleship Erzherzog Ferdinand during a 12 hours trial using 7 of the 12 boilers 8.000 hp developed and a speed of 16 miles achieved. During the long distance trial was 12.000 hp developed. Another magazine Le Yacht reported that she developed 20.600 hp and a speed of 20,58 miles achieved against the expected 20.000 hp and 20,3 miles.(1)
