Lion-class
An item reported that the British armoured cruiser Lion was armed with 8-34,3cm guns instead of 30,5cm guns as was earlier reported for instance Brasley Naval Annual. The Art. Monatshefte dated Augustus 1910 however predicted already a calibre of 34,3cm.(1)

Laid down at John Brown and Company, Clydebank, Scotland on 20 June 1912, launched on 10 December 1913, commissioned on 3 October 1914, in reserve since 22 August 1921, refitted in 1922, decommissioned on 14 February 1924. decommissioned at Rosyth, Scotland on 15 May 1931 and sold to Thos W. Ward, Inverkeithing be broken up in February 1932. Building costs included her armament 2.593.100 pond sterling.
