Strong American squadron sent to Poland according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 25 August 1920

An item dated Berlin,Germany 24th referred to the Vossische Zeitung which reported that despite contrary tidings on the 16th a squadron of American warships including 4 battleships, 4 large cruisers and a destroyer flotilla left the coast of Virginia, USA towards the Baltic probably for Danzig. The at Danzig arrived transports returned around 3.000 Polish emigrants back although the Polish cabinet refused to let them into the country while the men fit to serve in the army refused to do so.
