Chinese merchant ship Hoetsjang robbed by pirates according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated Monday 10 September 1923

An item dated Hong Kong, 9th reported that 15 armed pirates who pretended to be passengers captured on last Saturday evening the Chinese merchant ship Hoetsjang between Canton, China and Hong Kong. The officers were imprisoned excluded for two who were just 9 Chinese passengers taken with the pirates as hostages. Without one shot was 20.000 US dollars stolen.
