An item reported that the Japanese shipbuilding program with total costs 824 million US dollars to executed within 8 years was approved by the Japanese parliament. It consisted of 4-40.000 ton battleships of the Nagato-class (1), 4 battle cruisers( 2), 20 light cruisers, 80 destroyers, 70 submarines and 30 vessels of different types.

Notes
1. The Nagato-class consisted of 2-32.720 (standard) tons dreadnought, preceded by the Ise-class and succeeded by the Tosa-class consisting of the Nagato and the Mutsu. The Tosa-class consisted of 2-39.00 (normal)-44.200 (full load) dreadnoughts of which just was one completed (but as the aircraft carrier Kaga).
2. The Amagi-class was to consist of 4 units,namely the Amagi, Akagi, Atago and Takao, essentially based on a modified Tosa-class design. The Akagi was completed although as an aircraft carrier. The other ships were broken up as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty. The Amagi was just like the Akagi to be converted into an aircraft carrier but heavily damaged beyond repairs during the earthquake in September 1923. Displacement 41.217 tons (standard)-47.000 tons (full load) and a main armament of 5x2-41cm/16” L/45guns.
