The penetration capabilities of French 30,5 and 34cm guns according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1919-1920 no. 2

An item referred to the Naval and Military Record dated 9 April 1919 reporting that the French 30,5 cm shells with a weight of 440 kilo fired  by the Dantons (1) were able to penetrate 47cm on a distance of 4 kilometres, with 18 degrees angle of descent on a distance of 6 kilometres 41cm and on 8 kilometres 36cm thick Krupp steel made armour. The 34cm shells fired by the Bretagne (2) were able to penetrate at least 30,5cm thick armour on a distance of 10 kilometres,
