British firm Yarrow building torpedo boat fitted out with a Parsons turbine according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 10

An item reported that by the firm Yarrow&Co., London, England the keel was laid down for a torpedo boat 100% similar to the Dutch Ophir type torpedo boats except for that she was to be fitted out with a Parsons turbine instead of a regular engine. The steam boilers at the contrary were 100% similar to the Ophir. For the first time would it be possible to execute comparable tests under the same circumstances with both engine types.
