French battleship Démocratie performed well during trial according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the preliminary trials of the French battleship Démocratie were satisfying. With a horsepower of 11.000 hp was the speed more as 16 miles with a coal consumption of 6,73 kilo/hp/hour. On short term were the official trials to be executed.(1)

1. Of the Liberté-class consisting of the Liberté, Démocratie, Justice and Vérité, preceded by the République-class and succeeded by the Danton-class. Laid down by Arsenal de Brest, France on 1 May 1903, launched on 30 April 1904, commissioned in January 1908 and stricken in broken up in 1921.
