French submarines Le Tonnant and Le Conquerant underway towards the Far East according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 5

An item referred to the Marine Rundschau dated May 1938 reporting that the French submarines Le Tonnant (1) and Le Conquerant (2) left begin April Toulon, France for a training and promotion voyage of 8 months towards the Far East. Among the harbours to be visited were Hong Kong, Manilla, Philippines and Borneo, Dutch East Indies.
