An item referred to the Proceedings dated May 1938 reported that in Germany was at the moment under construction with a total tonnage of 360.000 ton: 2-35.000 ton battleships, 2-26.000 ton battleships of which one was ready for trials, 3-10.000 ton cruisers, 2 aircraft carrier for 30 aircraft, 6-1.850 ton destroyers and 15 submarines of 750 (surfaced)-1.000 (submerged) tons.
