Russian seagoing dredger Kolyma launched at Kinderdijk, Netherlands according to the Dutch magazine Schip en Werf dated 22 July 1938

An item reported the launching by J.&K. Smit’s Scheepswerven, Kinderdijk, Netherlands with yard number 770 on Saturday 2 July 1938 of the self propelling seagoing dredger Kolyma built for Russian account. Main dimensions 67,60 x 12,60 x 5 (hold0 x 3,30 metres. Dredging capacity 750 cubic metres/hour/ Speed 8,5 knots. To be fitted out with 2-600ihp steam engines, 2 screws, electric winches and accommodation for 63 persons.
