An item reported that two Soviet submarines of the Shcha type built at the Progresul shipyard, Braila, Bulgaria were handed over to Bulgaria. In the meantime were the technical crewmembers of both submarines already since end June at Braila participating in the trials. At that moment were another two submarines (of the Soviet M type) at Braila under construction also for the Bulgarian navy and to be launched in April 1954.(1)
