Chinese torpedo boats stationed in the Choishan Islands according to a CIA report dated 25 May 1953

An item reported that the East China Navy Commanded stationed (apparently an extra) torpedo boat unit in the Choishan Islands in February 1953 as part of the Chinese Communist 5 Fleet. Mid-February arrived the four boats coming from Shanghai at Tsingtao, each armed with 2 torpedo tubes, a crew numbering 12 men and a speed of 23 knots.
