German motor tanker Bansin salvaged sunk in the harbour of Stralsund by Soviets according to a CIA report dated 7 July 1948

An item dealing with the Russian controlled German zone reported the salvage in October 1947 of the former German 1/.250 gross register tons motor tanker Bansin sunk in the harbour of Stralsund costing 240.000RM. At the moment was she lying at Wismar being refitted out for the Soviet Union.
