German lighter Doggerbank salvaged by Soviets according to a CIA report dated 7 July 1948

An item dealing with the Russian controlled German zone reported the salvage in July 1947 of the former German lighter Doggerbank consisting 80.000 RM. She was built in 1890 but due to her strong construction converted into a salvage vessel and used for hoisting the sunk Gorch Fork and Delphin. She was now refitted by the Stadtwerft, Stralsund.
