An item reported that the Soviet Caspian
tanker steam agencies possessed always more transport capacity of petroleum
products than could be produced by the Ministry of the Petroleum Industry. The
Reydtanker fleets were between 1948-1951 increased with around 22-5.000 ton
barges and further more with tugs with a total towing capacity of 6.000hp.
