The Breslauer-barges of the Polish Shipping Company according to a CIA report dated 28 March 1956

An item reported that the Polish Oder Shipping Company was active in transporting coal between Gleiwitz and Stettin. Iron ore between Stettin and Gleiwitz and raw building materials like gravel, sand and bricks between Cosel and Breslau. She possessed as transport means 180 so-called Breslauer-barges with a capacity of 500 tons and as dimensions 56 x 8 x 2,5 (height) metres of which 125 were in actual service and the remaining 55 under repair by shipyards at Breslau and Neusalz.
