Launched as fleet minesweeper Burnie by Mort’s Dock&Eng. Comp. Ltd., Sydney, Australia in 1941, sold to the Netherlands and commissioned as the Hr.Ms. Ceram in the Royal Netherlands Navy on 3 July 1946. Served as minesweeper (MV 27), since 15 September 1946 corvette (PK 7), since 15 January 1947 patrol vessel (P 12), since15 October 1950 minesweeper (M815), served as station ship at Curacao 1951-1953, frigate since 15 October 1952 (F815)and after she was stricken on 15 July 1957 as accommodation ship (A872). Dimensions 56,79-57,45 x 9,45 x 2,54 metres and a displacement of 1790 tons. Armament consisted of 1-10,2cm gun, 1-4cm machinegun and 4-2cm machineguns. Crew numbered 75 men. With a horsepower of 1.750hp was her speed 15 miles.
