Anonymous new Soviet merchant steamship sighted at Odessa, Ukraine according to a CIA report dated 13 March 1956

An item reported that at Solikamsk (Odessa, Ukraine) a new steamship was sighted with an estimated gross register tonnage of around 7.000 tons of which the hull was painted black and her superstructures white. The machinery was positioned aft amidships was a castle. Furthermore she had two masts, one funnel, 8 cargo derricks, 4 hatches and was fitted out with radio, a fixed antenna RDF and radar.
