Sofia/Sofiya-type consisting of the Sofia, Belgrad, Bratsilava, Varna, Havana, Gdynia, Drezden or Dresden, Otto Grotewol, Palmiro Toliatti, Maurice Thorez, Gdansk, George Georgiu-Dezh or Gheorge Gheorgiu Dezj, Richard Sorge or Rikhard Zorge, Khulio Antoio Melya or Hulio Antonio Melja, Geroi Bresta, Komsomolets Kubani, Burgas, Pyatidesyatiletiye Oktyabrya or 50 Letiye Okyabrya, Mekhanik Afanasiev, Komsomolets Leningrada, Borodino, Hanoi and Hassi Messaoud. Built at Baltic Shipbuilding and Engineering Works, St. Petersburg, Russia in 1964. Russia-flagged, homeport Novorossiysk, call sign UKNR and IMO 6521812. Belonged to the Novorossiysk Steamship Company. Renamed Cayman Islands-flagged Navar in 1986.
