South Korean patrol vessel Mok Seong PCS 203 (ex-PCS-1446 1943-1952) 1952-1967


Laid down by San Diego Marine Construction Co., San Diego, California as PC-1146 on 30 January 1943, reclassified as PCS-1146 in April 1943, launched on 31 July 1943, commissioned on 19 April 1944, selected to be disposed in November 1948, handed over to South Korea in 1952, lent to the Hydrographic Office in January 1964 and given back to the USA after she was discarded in September 9167. Displacement 245/251-338 (full load) tons and as dimensions 136 x 24.5-24.6 x 8.5=8.7 feet. Speed 14 knots. Machinery consisted of 2 General Motors 8-268A diesel engines supplying 800 bhp. Armament consisted of 1-4xm gun and 2-2cm guns. In US Navy service 1-3” dual purpose gun, 2-2cm guns, 2 depth charge projectors. Wood made hull.
