Canadian fishing and sealing schooner Ailsa in 1867

Homeport Esquimaux Point. Active on the cod and herring fishery along the coast of Labrador. Captain F. Cumming. Tonnage 40 tons. Crew numbered 10 men. Catch of 290 cwts cod and 121 barrels of herring. Also active in the seal hunting leaving for the ice around 23 March and returning at the end of April. Number of seals killed 430 and value in 2.365 US dollars.
